InheritNOW digital platform nets The Estate Registry a Highly Commended at prestigious industry awards

The Estate Registry (TER), which is a subsidiary of PCA Global Ventures, has been highly commended at the 2026 British Wills & Probate Awards for its use of technology.

The accolade highlights TER’s work on one of probate’s most challenging realities – the long delays beneficiaries may face before receiving an inheritance intended for them.

This year’s awards were held at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.

The Estate Registry’s InheritNOW service is a secure digital inheritance platform, streamlining document collection, estate verification and communication between beneficiaries, solicitors and funding specialists.

Howard Enders, Chief Operating Officer at The Estate Registry said:

“Bereaved families often find the period of time before probate is granted financially challenging. There are funeral expenses to be paid, Inheritance Tax obligations, property has to be maintained and cannot be sold and, from April 2027, information about unused pension pots must be added into the equation. This piles stress and anxiety on families who are already grieving.

“At the Estate Registry, we identified the role of  InheritNOW as a funding bridge for families and executors to address that gap before a certificate of probate is granted. Making the process as seamless as possible was an important consideration to easing the burden on the bereaved.”

The platform digitises what has traditionally been a manual, paper-based process through secure online workflows. Applicants can submit estate documentation electronically, including death certificates, wills, probate information and supporting documentation.

InheritNOW’s specialist team will verify the estate, assess the application and communicate with applicants throughout the funding process. Once approved, agreements are completed electronically, reducing administrative delays and helping some customers receive funding in as little as four business days.

As part of The Estate Registry’s wider digital estate ecosystem, InheritNOW – alongside bereavement notification service NotifyNOW – supports the company’s mission of simplifying the end-of-life administration process by putting the customer first in its use of technology.

The platform offers advantages including a minimum advance of £5,000, competitive interest rates, interest frozen after 18 months, no interest charged on origination fees and no monthly repayments or personal liability, helping beneficiaries borrow only what they genuinely need.

Enders continues:

“A death often causes financial pressures at the worst time. Families may be forced into debt while they wait for the settlement of an estate and probate to be granted, releasing an inheritance they are due.

“At TER we are always looking for ways to reduce and streamline end-of-life administration in a transparent and compassionate way for all concerned.”
