Free HR Breakfast Workshop: Diversity in the Workplace

Neath and Swansea business owners and HR leaders are invited to a free breakfast event taking place tomorrow.

The theme is a challenge that all HR professionals grapple with at some point: how can they ensure their firms embrace diversity in all its forms – and avoid the pitfalls of falling foul of political correctness and the sensitivities of the so-called snowflake generation.

The breakfast event will include practical and interactive sessions on how best to deal with difficult conversations surrounding diversity that HR and management often fear.

This training will help you tackle these challenges – and make your firm a better place in the process.   It will tackle a range of things including:

Common misconceptions around which words and phrases are acceptable – and which are not – when dealing with sensitive issues

  • Gender quotas and the debate around whether companies should be forced to be more diverse, at least in their senior management
  • Recent updates in employment law around diversity
  • The positive effect of a more diverse workforce: more perspectives, ideas and problem solvers.

Join Nia Godsmark, senior solicitor at law firm Peter Lynn & Partners and Joy Ogey-Hutfield, transformational coach on 11th December at The Village Hotel, Swansea from 8am-9.30am – the event is free to attend, all you have to do is pre-register using the link below:
