Meanwhile, live-in carer Katarzyna Nowicka has been announced as a Domiciliary Carer of the Year finalist. Having supported the same client for more than a decade, she has secured essential equipment and home adaptations, successfully advocated for the retention of live-in care, and helped the individual reconnect with both family and community.

Barbara Baig, Group Head of Quality and Continuous Improvement, is a finalist for Care Personality of the Year. Her work has embedded continuous improvement across the Group, bringing colleagues together through Care Improvement Ambassadors, shared learning and practical guidance designed around the challenges care teams encounter in everyday practice.

Care Manager Rebecca Walton has been shortlisted for The Sara Berrio Care Champion Award. Her entry highlighted her calm, compassionate response to families’ requests for urgent help, including co-ordinating assessments and arranging next-day visiting and live-in support for a client whose needs had escalated.

Completing the line-up, Nicola Waghorn, Head of HR and Learning & Development, is a finalist in the Training and Development of the Year category. Under her leadership, Trinity delivered 5400 face-to-face hours of training last year, with colleagues putting their learning into practice during real CPR and choking emergencies.
