- London’s iconic ArcelorMittal Orbit to be transformed into an abandoned research facility under military lockdown
- Visitors must navigate a scare maze and reach the world’s longest and tallest tunnel slide without being contaminated by a not-quite-human creature
- ‘Project E20’ tickets are now on sale from £35
This Halloween, Zip World London at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is transforming the iconic ArcelorMittal Orbit into the site of a top-secret research project gone horribly wrong.
Launching from 26th to 31st October, Project E20 is a fully immersive experience that reimagines the landmark as the former base of a secret genetic testing programme designed to push the human body beyond its natural limits.
When the experiment escapes containment, the facility is placed under military lockdown. Visitors are recruited to enter the abandoned site, navigate its darkened corridors and evade a highly contagious, not-quite-human creature that now stalks the building.
On arrival, guests will report to a military checkpoint for protective equipment and a mission briefing before entering the facility and making their way through a scare maze to reach safety.
That safety lies at the end of Helix, the world’s longest and tallest tunnel slide. As part of the Project E20 storyline, each descent helps power the Orbit’s containment system, keeping the creature trapped inside and preventing it from escaping into the capital.
Guests will travel through the 178-metre-long slide at speeds of up to 15mph as they complete their mission.
Wesley Earl, Head of Sales, Marketing & Brand at Zip World, said: “Project E20 takes Halloween at Zip World London to a whole new level. We’ve transformed one of London’s most recognisable landmarks into a fully immersive experience that combines live scares, storytelling and the thrill of Helix. We can’t wait to welcome guests this October and see if they can make it through the facility unscathed.”
The sessions will run from 26th – 31st October, with entry times available from 4pm to 10pm.
Guests can also add a Scream Cam recording to their booking for £6 to capture every reaction along the way.
