Taylor Walton Solicitors has announced the appointment of Camilla Haggith, Senior Associate Solicitor in the Private Client team and based in the firm’s St Albans office.
Camilla is well known in the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire business community having worked within the legal sector for the last 15 years, including at BP Collins, before moving to a Central London firm with an international client base.
Camilla specialises in estate planning assisting clients including those with high-net-worth, guiding them through legal issues relating to marriage, cohabitation, divorce, domicile issues, and the establishment of trusts to protect assets for vulnerable beneficiaries.
Camilla Haggith comments: “It’s good to be based back in Hertfordshire and I’m looking forward to working with clients on a range of private client legal issues. The last couple of years has seen a number of changes especially to tax policy, which means many families with earned and generational wealth have been reviewing and changing how they plan for the future and leave wealth to loved ones. This coupled with an increase in blended families sees many clients keen to put in place provisions to protect the succession of their wealth. There has been a significant increase in the number of legal claims against estates, so it is important to think very carefully about how your Will is drafted.”
Dermot Carey, Managing Partner at Taylor Walton Solicitors comments: “People are at the heart of the continued growth of Taylor Walton, and we are committed to investing in the expertise and talent we need to deliver an exceptional service to our clients. Camilla’s appointment strengthens an already highly regarded Private Client team, which is ranked Tier 1 for Private Wealth Law in both Chambers High Net Worth and in the Legal 500, and adds further depth to our ability to support clients and their families with increasingly complex needs.
As we continue to grow as a firm, maintaining the quality and personal approach for which Taylor Walton is known remains central to our ambitions. We are delighted to welcome Camilla and look forward to the contribution she will make to both our Private Client offering and the wider firm.”
Steven Hamilton, Partner and Head of Wills, IHT, Trusts & Probate at Taylor Walton Solicitors comments: “I am delighted to welcome Camilla to the team. She brings with her a wealth of experience in estate planning, Wills, trusts, inheritance tax and succession planning, together with particular expertise in advising individuals and families with more complex and multi-generational affairs.
Camilla’s appointment is an important addition to an already growing and highly experienced team. We have ambitious plans for the continued development of our Private Client offering, both across our existing client base and as part of the wider growth of the firm, and Camilla’s experience and expertise will be a real asset as we continue to build on that success.
It is particularly pleasing to be strengthening the team with someone who shares our commitment to delivering a high-quality, personal service to clients, and I am very much looking forward to Camilla becoming part of the team.”
