Global event public safety consultancy ESM Operations Ltd has supported the delivery of some of the UK’s biggest live music events this summer, providing specialist expertise across 13 stadium and large-scale shows attended by more than 500,000 fans.
Over recent weeks, ESM Operations’ Managing Director, Steven Coleman, has worked alongside SJM Concerts and venue partners across high-profile shows including Take That’s Circus Tour, Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance and The Prodigy. Events were staged at major venues in Southampton, Coventry, Sunderland, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool and Milton Keynes.
The programme of concerts required some of the UK’s largest football stadiums and major outdoor venues to be rapidly and safely transformed from sporting venues into major live entertainment environments. ESM Operations supported with specialist consultancy and operational oversight, developing tailored crowd management strategies and robust public safety arrangements to support organisers and venues from planning through to live event delivery.
Steven Coleman, Managing Director at ESM Operations, commented: “It’s been great to support another series of major UK live music events alongside some fantastic industry professionals and to see thousands of fans enjoying live music in a controlled and safe environment. Every venue presents its own operational challenges, and successfully transitioning football stadiums into concert venues, as well as delivering large-scale outdoor shows, requires detailed planning, strong collaboration and a shared commitment to public safety.”
Operating across three international hubs, ESM Operations supports clients across all phases of an event, from early planning and design through to live operations and post-event review across the events, sports and entertainment sectors, delivering consistent standards of public safety across diverse and complex environments.
