Leading independent trustee and pension governance firm makes five strategic appointments
Vidett, one of the UK’s largest independent professional trustee and pension governance firms, has strengthened its team with five new appointments as it continues to grow in response to increasing client demand.
The new hires expand Vidett’s expertise across governance, risk and compliance, trustee secretarial services, client delivery and operations, further strengthening support for defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pension schemes across the UK.
Ed Crowe joins as Head of Risk & Compliance

Ed Crowe joins Vidett to lead the firm’s enterprise risk and compliance framework. He brings extensive experience from Intertek Group Plc in corporate governance, operational excellence, investigations and data protection. At Vidett, he will strengthen the firm’s risk and compliance framework, supporting consistent, scalable and audit-ready delivery for clients.
Farid Nachif appointed Manager

Farid Nachif has been appointed a Manager, bringing a wealth of experience across pension scheme governance, trustee secretarial services and operational delivery. He began his career at The Pensions Regulator before moving into pension administration and, more recently, governance, compliance and project delivery. His experience further strengthens Vidett’s scheme governance and client delivery capabilities.
Nicci Wyborn joins as Client Director

Nicci Wyborn joins as a Client Director with more than 18 years’ experience across DB, DC and master trust pension schemes. Previously at Pinsent Masons, she managed large and complex clients, including schemes with assets exceeding £1 billion, and led projects including mergers, administration transfers, buy-ins and master trust migrations. Her experience strengthens Vidett’s capability in delivering complex governance and transformation projects.
Rudi Smith appointed Client Director

Rudi Smith joins as a Client Director, bringing more than 30 years’ experience across DB and DC pensions. His career spans Aon, TPT Retirement Solutions and Willis Towers Watson, where he advised trustee and corporate clients on defined contribution pensions, provider selection and automatic enrolment. His experience further enhances Vidett’s client advisory capability.
Selena Laye joins the support team

Selena Laye joins as Team PA, assisting the Midlands team and wider UK operations. She will coordinate meetings, travel, CRM management and office administration, while managing Vidett’s engagement with the Association of Professional Pension Trustees (APPT) and the Pensions Management Institute (PMI).
