Multi-award-winning Welsh technology pioneers de Novo Solutions are set to appear in a book which looks at the history of leadership, royalty and Parliament.
The Newport-based company was selected to contribute to the Monarchy and Democracy: A History of Leadership book, which will be officially launched on Tuesday 9th June in the grounds of Westminster Abbey.
Produced by the History of Parliament Trust in partnership with publisher St James’s House, the book explores the origins and impact of the Act of Settlement 1701, past and present shifts in power, and the transformative political and social changes of the last century.
Mark Sweeny, Founder and Group Chief Executive of de Novo, said: “It’s fantastic to take part in the project, cementing our place – quite literally – in the history books of the UK. It’s interesting to reflect on how leadership and governance has changed over time, and I’m looking forward to seeing the finished book at the launch event in London next month.”
Dr Jennifer Davey, History of Parliament Trust Director, added: “The book not only explores the history and evolution of UK and Commonwealth governance and the shift to a constitutional monarchy, but also profiles a selection of organisations invited to join the project based on their relevance to the themes of leadership, innovation, sustainability and governance.”
