Royal setting for new Windsor festival backed by Parfitt Cresswell

A leading South East law firm is backing a major new music festival taking place on Windsor’s iconic Long Walk, an event staged with kind permission from His Majesty The King.

Parfitt Cresswell Solicitors has been announced as Platinum Sponsor of Long Walk Live, a new two-day music festival set against the dramatic backdrop of Windsor Castle on 26–27 June.

The festival will take place on the historic Long Walk, part of Windsor Great Park, one of the country’s most recognisable royal landscapes, making the event one of the most distinctive new additions to the UK’s summer festival calendar.

Organisers expect up to 10,000 visitors across the weekend, with all proceeds reinvested locally through the Windsor Festival and the Prince Philip Trust Fund to support arts and community initiatives in the town.

For Parfitt Cresswell, which has offices across the South East including Berkshire and Surrey, the sponsorship reflects a longstanding commitment to supporting the communities where the firm operates.

Joseph Romero, Business Development Manager at Parfitt Cresswell, said:

“The Long Walk is one of the most iconic settings in the country, recognised around the world for its connection to Windsor Castle. To see a community festival of this scale taking place there, with royal approval, is something very special, and we’re proud that Parfitt Cresswell can help bring it to life.

We believe businesses have a role to play in supporting the cultural life of the communities they serve. Events like this bring people together and help ensure local arts and charitable initiatives continue to thrive.”

Long Walk Live is being organised by the team behind Windsor’s Platinum Jubilee and Coronation celebrations, with the aim of creating a new annual festival for the town. The event will feature a mix of internationally recognised performers and local talent.

Friday night will see 90s pop star Chesney Hawkes headline, while Saturday’s programme includes Boyzlife, featuring members of Boyzone and Westlife. Windsor’s own Right Said Fred will also perform, alongside tribute acts celebrating artists including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, ABBA and Dua Lipa.

Chris Aitken, Chairman of the Long Walk Live Event Committee, said:

“Support from organisations like Parfitt Cresswell is vital in helping make an event like this possible. Their backing demonstrates how local businesses can play a major role in supporting Windsor’s cultural life.”

The festival will take place on 26–27 June on the Long Walk in Windsor, with tickets and further details available at www.longwalklive.co.uk.
