Korra Ventures has announced an investment in climate technology startup TOVA, participating in the company’s SEIS funding round alongside a number of Alma Angels.
TOVA is developing the next generation of deep-learning technology to help with climate-smart water management, designed to help organisations better predict, understand, and respond to growing water-related risks.
As climate volatility worsens, water scarcity, flooding, and supply disruptions are becoming significant challenges for businesses, cities, and communities worldwide. TOVA’s platform aims to bring greater visibility, prediction, and resilience to water risks that often stay unseen until they become more severe.
The company is led by Alexa Bruce, Co-founder and CEO, and Professor Casey Brown, Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer, whose combined expertise spans climate science, data modelling, and commercial innovation.
Together, they are focused on applying advanced machine learning to one of the most urgent and complex climate challenges of the coming decades.
Korra Ventures’ investment reflects its commitment to backing early-stage companies that combine deep technology with meaningful real-world impact.
Commenting on the investment, Tania Rahman from Korra Ventures shares: “Water risk is fast becoming one of the defining challenges of climate, yet it is still poorly understood. TOVA is tackling this head-on with sophisticated deep-learning technology and an exceptional founding team. We are excited to support the company at this early stage and to be part of its journey as it scales its impact.”
Backing Women-Led Businesses Through Founding Almas
Korra Ventures is investing in TOVA alongside Alma Angels, a community dedicated to investing in women-led companies. Earlier this month, Korra was announced as one of the Founding Almas, a collective of individuals and organisations putting their name, capital, and conviction behind a clear mission: to help generate $1 trillion in women-led wealth by 2050.
Being a Founding Alma is about more than investment returns. It is built on the belief that who gets funded matters, and that innovation is stronger when it reflects a wider range of lived experiences.
Supporting women entrepreneurs is a natural extension of Korra Ventures’ mission to unlock overlooked potential and help founders build meaningful, resilient and growth-ready businesses.
Those who share this vision are encouraged to be part of the movement.
