CHANCE Cider raises six-figure investment and appoints industry leader Gareth Bath to Board as it pioneers the UK’s first dedicated non-alcoholic cider brand

  • CHANCE Cider recently completed its SEIS round, raising in excess of £200,000 to accelerate growth ahead of its EIS raise.
  • Drinks industry heavyweight Gareth Bath (ex-Distill Ventures, BrewDog, Curious Drinks) joins as Co-Pilot and Strategic Advisor.
  • In its first year, CHANCE has landed Prezzo Italian, expanded to 700+ UK venues, and built fast-growing traction on Amazon.
  • With the non- and low-alcohol cider category booming, CHANCE is closing the gap in the UK’s £3bn cider market, which still lacks a true alcohol-free leader.

CHANCE Clean Cider, the UK’s first brand dedicated exclusively to non-alcoholic cider, has raised a six-figure investment in just four months, cementing its position as one of the most exciting new players in the no- and low-alcohol space.

The £200k+ SEIS round, completed in September, follows a stellar first year of trading for the 100% British apple brand. It brings together a strong group of investors and advisors spanning the drinks, FMCG, and SME growth sectors – including Tim Marlow and Alan Marks, both non-executive directors and strategic advisors with proven track records in scaling and exiting businesses in the SME space.

Together, the investor group represents a powerful blend of experience across production, brand building, and business strategy. From award-winning cider makers and creative leaders in brand and partnerships, to finance, governance, and growth specialists – the round brings a depth of talent designed to help CHANCE scale smartly and sustainably. This breadth of expertise ensures the brand is not only innovating in product, but also building the foundations of a world-class business.

Alongside them, CHANCE welcomes Gareth Bath – former Managing Director at Distill Ventures, BrewDog, and Curious Drinks – as Co-Pilot and Strategic Advisor. Bath brings decades of experience in building and scaling world-class drinks brands, giving CHANCE deep category expertise as it gears up for its upcoming EIS raise.

The new funding will accelerate CHANCE’s mission to redefine cider for the mindful drinker. Produced by Aston Manor Cider Makers using 100% British apples, CHANCE is already pouring in Prezzo Italian and stocked in 700+ bars and venues nationwide. Online, the brand has seen explosive first-year growth on Amazon – from launch to 200+ monthly case sales, ranking in the Top 25 in cider, and becoming the leading British non-alcoholic apple cider, on track for 500 cases per month by Christmas.

As the UK’s £3bn cider market undergoes a cultural shift, CHANCE is perfectly placed to lead. While 87% of UK pubs now stock a non-alcoholic beer, only around 33% offer a non-alcoholic cider – leaving a major gap in a category where apple still makes up 80% of sales.

“What excites me about CHANCE is how closely the brand has listened,” said Gareth Bath. “CHANCE has been built from the ground up with the non-alcoholic cider drinker in mind, and it’s meeting a real need. I’m looking forward to helping the team build a brand that can stand proudly alongside the best in the no- and low-alcohol drinks space.”

Founder John Logue, who spent two decades in the drinks industry before launching CHANCE, added:

“We’re thrilled to have Gareth on board at such a pivotal moment. His experience in building world-class drinks brands will be invaluable as we accelerate growth and establish CHANCE as the leader in non-alcoholic cider. Closing our second SEIS round so quickly, and with such a strong group of backers, is a real vote of confidence in what we’re building.”

Tim Marlow, Investor and Advisor, said: “Chance is a no-brainer for me, both as an investor and from a Non-Executive perspective. John’s passion, drive, and vision are truly infectious, and the Chance product is timely, delicious, and poised to become a core pillar in the global beverage market for years to come. I look forward to supporting Chance as it fulfils its enormous potential.”
