A Cheshire project manager has been recognised as one of the best in the UK after winning Project/Construction Manager of the Year at the National Building and Construction Awards.
The awards, which took place on October 10 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, united the UK’s top construction and development companies to celebrate excellence in the industry.
Claudia Dickens, Project Manager at Beeston-based Eaton Homes, took home the coveted national title, marking a proud moment for both her and the company.
“I am over the moon to receive the recognition from such a prestigious event. It is a fantastic achievement to be recognised, especially in such a male-driven industry.”
Claudia joined Eaton Homes over three years ago after a successful international career in event management, managing large-scale projects across the world. Her role at Eaton Homes has been integral to the company’s recent development and growth.
She said: “As a Project Manager, I oversee large-scale construction projects, often coordinating with several team members and contractors throughout the different stages from planning, development, and build to completion. I also work alongside colleagues assisting with sales and ensuring we deliver quality homes, including monitoring our aftercare, resolving any snagging issues that may occur.”
“After many years of managing events across the globe, I decided to move my focuses more locally. When the position at Eaton Homes came up, it felt like perfect timing!”
Since joining the team at Eaton Homes, Claudia has learned from company director David Thompson, who she says has been instrumental in her development.
“David has been an incredible mentor. His knowledge and experience are second to none, and his support has really shaped how I approach leadership and project delivery,” she said.
Eaton Homes, known for its high-quality residential developments across Cheshire and the North West, was quick to celebrate Claudia’s success. David Thompson said:
“We are incredibly proud of Claudia and all she has achieved. Her leadership, dedication, and attention to detail embody what Eaton Homes stands for. This award is a fantastic recognition not just of her hard work, but of the collaborative spirit that drives every project we deliver.”
Eaton Homes were also recognised as finalists in the Residential Developer of the Year category.
