Atea achieves centralised resourcing across regions with Dayshape

Atea, the leading supplier of IT infrastructure in the Nordic and Baltic regions, has successfully unified its resource management across the firm’s four service-based regions in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland by using Dayshape’s AI-powered resource management software.

Atea, the leading IT infrastructure provider in the Nordics and Baltics, has achieved centralised resourcing across regions with Dayshape – a leading software company using AI technology to power professional services growth and planning. By using Dayshape’s AI-powered scheduling and planning software, Atea now has one unified system to manage work, boost efficiency, and support growth across borders, as part of its “One Atea” initiative.

Matt Cockett, CEO of Dayshape, said: “We’ve played an important role in helping Atea deliver such an impactful initiative. By partnering with Magnus and team we’ve understood the importance of localisation alongside the need for centralising their approach for growth. We know how transformative it can be, and it’s been a pleasure to partner with Atea to make this happen.”

Since going live with Dayshape in April 2024, Atea (with over 8,000 employees located in 88 cities and seven European countries) has made huge strides with commonality of software across its four service-based Nordic regions. Replacing various systems which required constant monitoring and manual updates, Dayshape’s AI-powered platform enables Atea to maximise the entire resource pool and collaborate across geographies by increasing resourcing visibility to 12 months in advance – a level of foresight that was previously out of reach.

Magnus Hamp, Business Solution Manager and Atea’s Global Product Owner for Dayshape, said: “As part of the team tasked with running the “One-Atea” initiative, I’m very pleased with Dayshape. Not only did the team buy into our vision for the firm, but the product exceeded our expectations and helped us to create standardised and streamlined processes across regions to enable better resourcing and hiring decisions throughout the firm.”

Atea’s centralisation goal has been aided by Dayshape’s seamless integrations to other systems, such as Atea’s HR system and specific data imports. This information populates Dayshape’s Gantt chart scheduler with a firm-wide view of resources to provide complete visibility of resourcing options and availability at a global, regional, and local level. Such visibility allows Atea to share consultants, avoid scheduling conflicts, maintain consistent levels of utilisation across the firm, and recognise hiring needs.

On top of visibility and utilisation, AI-powered scheduling provides Atea with peace of mind that task allocation is optimised. Dayshape’s AI schedules based on who is best suited to working on a particular project which helps to increase employee morale and career progression at the firm. Notably, this is possible regardless of the task length which can vary greatly at Atea from short half-day tasks to site visits lasting months as well as everything in between.

Additionally, Atea has been benefitting from a configurable Dayshape setup with data localisation in each Nordic region which allows public holidays, local currency, and time zones to be considered while customizable workflows have created consistent processes for resource managers to follow, no matter which region.

Magnus added: “Dayshape has really worked with us to achieve our centralised resourcing goal. The team balanced unifying our resource management software across our Nordic regions with maintaining data localisation in each region. This, as well as Dayshape’s great user experience, has undoubtedly helped us to increase user adoption throughout the Nordics and brought us closer to achieving our complete “One-Atea” vision.”

Atea continues to work closely with Dayshape to explore further feature adoption across regions to achieve additional goals.
