SHINE, UK’s First Alcohol-Free Wellbeing Awards, Secures Major Sponsors and Partners with Aintree Racecourse

Following last month’s announcement of the SHINE Awards’ return, the UK’s first purpose-driven, alcohol-free corporate health and wellbeing awards, hosted by Steps Together Group, a leading UK private provider of wellbeing and addiction treatment services, will take place with the full support of the renowned Aintree Racecourse. The awards today unveil their headline sponsors, distinguished judging panel, and expanded celebrity guest line-up.

The event highlights the urgent need for workplace wellbeing, poor mental health costs UK employers over £56 billion annually, one in six employees experience mental health problems at work, and nearly three-quarters (72%) of workers want more support. Younger generations are increasingly choosing alcohol-free lifestyles, with over 50% of UK Gen Z reducing or abstaining from alcohol (YouGov, 2024).

Celebrity supporters include NACOA Patron Calum Best, actress and TV presenter Linda Robson, broadcaster Angie Greaves, and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Lystra Adams, while the awards also raise vital funds and awareness for NACOA UK (National Association for Children of Alcoholics).

Calum Best, NACOA Patron:
“I’m thrilled to return to the SHINE Awards this year. It’s inspiring to celebrate businesses and individuals making a real difference in workplace wellbeing, while shining a light on NACOA UK’s incredible work supporting children and families affected by addiction.”
