GB News Grooming Gangs Documentary Hits Almost 1.5 Million Views On Youtube & Journalist Behind It Vows: “Fight For Justice Must Continue.”

A ground-breaking GB News documentary about the cover-up of the activities of organised child rape gangs has now clocked up almost 1.5 million views on YouTube.

First aired in Feb 2023, Grooming Gangs: Britain’s Shame, powerfully exposed how the abuse scandal is a truly national problem, and the findings are still guiding the national conversation and political interventions two years on.

By demonstrating that more than 50 different towns and cities have been affected by this scourge, there has been a renewed focus in calls for a national inquiry and further investigations into the scandal.

This documentary and its countless associated exclusives have led the way in putting pressure on the Government to act.

After it was first released, ministers launched a specialist grooming gangs task force, which made more than 1,000 arrests.

And now it appears likely that further inquiries will be actioned after our nationwide revelations.

The documentary was made by GB News National Reporter Charlie Peters.

He said: “It’s incredible to see how many people have now viewed the documentary, but it’s vitally important never to look away.

“So many lives were destroyed by the monsters behind this scandal and we owe it to the victims to continue to fight. GB News will continue to do just that.

“Although this documentary proved a breakthrough moment, it is only the start of a bigger campaign that will carry on until justice is secured.”

Follow-ups by Charlie on grooming gangs form part of a new strand of in-depth documentary-style reports called GB News Originals.

Other stories covered by GB News Originals this week include analysis on the Government’s U-turn on winter fuel payments and a look at claims that a two-tier justice system is being operated by the government.

Charlie’s work in this area has seen shortlisted for Best News Presenter in this year’s Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) Awards. GB News Breakfast, made up of Eamonn Holmes, Ellie Costello, Stephen Dixon, Anne Diamond, Paul Coyte and Aidan Magee, has also been shortlisted for a TRIC award for Best News Programme.
