London-based SEO company Reboot Online has announced its expansion into Traditional PR and Paid Media, bolstered by two key external appointments.
Joining from the northern PR agency, Smoking Gun, Hollie Tanker takes on the role of Reboot’s inaugural Traditional PR Manager. With seven years of PR and communications experience including roles at esteemed companies like Weber Shandwick and PR Agency One, Hollie brings a wealth of expertise across various sectors spanning from fashion, travel to finance. She has served an array of renowned clients such as Decathlon, Alton Towers, Iceland and more.
Speaking on her new role, Hollie said: “I am honoured to be Reboot’s first Traditional PR Manager and to play a pivotal role in the department’s take off. It’s not every day you get to put your stamp on a team like this!
My mission is to bring in a fresh, forward-thinking approach, leaving behind old methods of earning coverage that have become increasingly redundant post-pandemic. I am dedicated to building an innovative Traditional PR department that creates best-in-class work for our clients and attracts new business, ensuring to kick start the new department with a bang.”
Meanwhile, Nikhil Thapar, formerly of Precis Digital, steps into the role of Paid Media Manager. Armed with over five years of hands-on experience and a robust client portfolio including Selfridges, Virgin Media, Odeon and Klarna, Nikhil boasts extensive knowledge in all aspects of the paid media landscape. At Reboot, he will be responsible for developing the biddable media offering from the ground up.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Nikhil said: “I am thrilled to lead the inception of Reboot’s Paid Media department. Shaping it from the ground up without pre-established systems is a rare and exciting opportunity. My extensive background in agencies of all sizes, ranging from SEO-focused to paid media pioneers, will provide me with a rich foundation to draw from.
The 4-day work week initially drew me to Reboot as work-life balance is paramount to me, and this signalled a company that values agility and flexibility. While I joined for the flexible hours, I’m staying for the vibrant culture and energy where the entire team is motivated and prepared to tackle challenging issues head-on.”
The strategic move comes on the heels of a period of consistent growth as Reboot diversifies its creative capabilities beyond SEO, Digital PR, and Content Writing, venturing into the Traditional PR and Paid Media arena. This investment has positioned Reboot to broaden its service portfolio, offering clients an integrated approach to public relations.
Shai Aharony, CEO and founder of Reboot, said: “Demand has come from new and existing clients seeking our expertise in both Traditional PR and PPC. The addition of Hollie and Nikhil to the team will be instrumental in driving the company forward, enabling us to offer thought leadership for our current clients and explore new markets.”
Sean Guy, Growth Director at Reboot, added: “The year of 2023 has marked a period of phenomenal growth for Reboot, largely driven by the launch of our new service across Paid Media and Traditional PR – developments that we are thrilled to formally announce to the industry.
One of the biggest Traditional PR clients we welcomed is Gilchrist Collection – a leading wedding venues collection in the UK. Supplementing newsjacking and expert comment pieces, we recently launched our first cross-channel campaign titled “Masters of Mocktails”. The endeavour involved a collaboration with the renowned barman and TV personality Merlin Griffiths, resulting in extensive coverage including notable features in The Times and a featured TV slot on GB News Live.
Besides, as the prospects for shared learnings between organic and paid search continue to rise, the benefits of managing both strategies under one roof have become increasingly evident. We’ve initiated paid media strategies for new clients like Beautiful Bedroom and Rainbow Removals, infusing a fresh creative approach to campaign targeting, while leveraging a test-and-learn approach across SEO and PPC.”
In addition to successfully onboarding a number of new clients following an expansion of our in-house expertise, the company has also almost doubled its headcount over the last 12 months attracting high-calibre talent from within the industry.
