PALÉ HALL – iconic Snowdonia hotel awarded coveted Michelin Green Star

2021’s hottest staycation destination, Palé Hall, is celebrating 150 years since it was built. The luxury country house hotel, located in the tranquil Dee Valley, Wales, boasts high-end accommodation including 22 individually styled rooms, distinctive charm, and exceptional food, along with breathtaking scenery of Snowdonia. 
 

Palé Hall’s fine dining restaurant Henry Robertson, run by head chef Gareth Stevenson, has been recognised for its ethical and environmental standards. The restaurant boasts an on-site hydroelectric plant, team uniforms made from recycled plastic as well as an incentive scheme for innovative contributions to reduce carbon footprint. They also grow organic herbs, vegetables and fruit using their own compost all of which appear on the restaurant’s menu throughout the year, bringing farm to table closer than ever before.
 
Steeped in history, Palé Hall was built for the original owner Sir Henry Robertson with work on the house completed in 1871. Owners Angela and Alan Harper have made several exciting changes to the grounds of the property including the opening of the gorgeous garden suites and barn conversions.
 

The newly opened Garden Suites consist of Harper’s Barn – a dramatic two-bedroom barn conversion set across two floors featuring full-height exposed beams, an open plan living area, and a large glass balcony, providing the perfect vista for the views over the garden and hills beyond. Providing a private retreat for two, the Hillside Cottage, with its own garden area and outdoor seating, makes it the ideal staycation come summer. Both the Fern Suite and Bracken Suite have been lovingly restored from Palé Hall’s original Victorian Coach House. Impressive features such as stylish and comfortable furniture, a king-sized bed, roll-top bath, and walk-in shower, makes for a remarkable setting with glorious historic appeal. 
 

With nearly three decades of experience, General Manager Debbie Cappadona oversees the running of the 5* hotel. Heading up a team of 49, Deborah has been instrumental in the hotel’s recent expansion and Michelin award.
 

According to market research company, Mintel, the UK are bracing for a holiday boom with Brits expected to spend an estimated £7.1b holidaying at home this summer – an increase of 22% on 2019’s £5.8b.
