MARCH Appoints Jo Pick as First Chief People Officer

Engineering specialist MARCH has appointed Jo Pick as its first Chief People Officer. The newly created executive role marks a significant step in the company’s commitment to nurturing talent and advancing engineering excellence.

Jo joins from Wincanton, where she led a team of more than 300 professionals supporting over 20,000 colleagues across the UK and Ireland. She has over two decades of senior leadership experience in people strategy, having also held pivotal roles at Greencore, Johnson & Johnson, and Royal Mail. Her expertise spans large-scale transformation, digital innovation, and complex organisational change, including mergers and acquisitions. Jo is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

In her new role, Jo will lead MARCH’s people strategy, with a focus on empowering teams, enabling career development, and building a cohesive and high-performing organisation. She will oversee initiatives to attract and retain the best talent, support development through the MARCH Academy, and strengthen engineering capabilities across the business.

Commenting on the appointment, Christopher Kehoe, chief executive officer at MARCH, said: “Jo joins us at a defining moment in our journey. Our people are vital to our success and we’re building a business that prioritises their development, creating an environment where the best engineers and professionals come to thrive, innovate, and shape the future.

The MARCH Academy is central to that vision, developing industry-leading talent and advancing the skills that drive our industry forward. Jo’s appointment reinforces our commitment to creating a culture where individuals can do their best work, grow their careers, and contribute to something extraordinary. Her strategic insight, energy, and experience in leading transformation will be instrumental in shaping the next phase of our evolution.”

MARCH delivers complex engineering and transformation programmes in highly regulated sectors. Over the past three years, the company has grown from 970 to over 1,300 colleagues, integrating multiple acquisitions while continuing to expand organically through long-term customer partnerships.

Jo Pick added: “MARCH is powered by the expertise, collaboration and ambition of its people. This is a unique opportunity to help shape how we work together, bringing consistency, clarity and connection across the business. I’m excited to build on the strengths of our teams and create shared ways of working that support growth, deepen engagement and unlock potential at every level.”
