VertiGIS Appoints Stephan Rasp as EMEA Managing Director for Utilities

Stephan will focus on creating additional customer value and expanding EMEA team

VertiGIS, a leading global provider of spatial asset management solutions, has appointed Stephan Rasp as Managing Director for Utilities across EMEA. Stephan brings over 40 years of experience to VertiGIS having worked in leadership, sales, and business development roles across Europe, predominantly in publicly listed software companies.

Stephan’s primary strategic priority for 2025 is to help customers transition from a traditional licensed software model (for both VertiGIS and Esri customers) to VertiGIS’ SaaS, cloud-based subscription model.

Stephan will also be focused on increasing value for customers through delivering increasingly tailored solutions. This will enable VertiGIS’ EMEA utility customers to address challenges such as diverse regulatory environments, supply chain disruption, climate change, and reducing public infrastructure investment.

While overseeing EMEA, Stephan will place particular emphasis on the DACH region, where cloud migration and customer engagement is a key priority. To do this, Stephan will expand VertiGIS’ already experienced and knowledgeable customer-facing team in DACH, where VertiGIS currently has 340 employees.

“As I step into my role at VertiGIS, I’m eager to hit the ground running and contribute to the success of our exceptional EMEA utilities team at a pivotal moment,” commented Stephan Rasp. “I look forward to helping our customers and partners optimise their network operations, enhance data-driven decision-making, and improve regulatory compliance. This will help to further solidify VertiGIS as an industry leader, providing best-in-class solutions for streamlining utilities network management.”

Stephan will also introduce VertiGIS’ Managed Services capabilities as a new strategic pillar for increasing EMEA market share and revenue. In helping customers to manage their workflows, VertiGIS will provide 24/7 software availability, seamless upgrades, and enhanced efficiency during migration, whilst enabling customers to maximise the value of their GIS data.

“Stephan has a long track record of driving business growth and innovation in the software and technology sector,” added Andy Berry, Chief Executive Officer at VertiGIS. “We are thrilled he will be leading our European utilities operations. His expertise will help in expanding our market presence and providing value to our customers and partners.”
