PR firm targets growth after celebrating first year in business

A FAST growing PR agency is celebrating its first year in business.

Magnify PR, based in Chester, helps clients secure coverage across mainstream print, broadcast and digital media platforms.

Via “organic storytelling” the agency, founded by Nick and Gemma Owens last January, is now working with 12 clients and has ambitious plans to scale.

Specialising in legal, tech and property PR, Magnify’s clients include the National Association of Property Buyers, the law-firm Kingsley Bond, and the award-winning tech specialists, the Connectus Group.

Magnify also manages external communications for GB News, which is Britain’s fastest growing TV and radio station. And, through a subsidiary-agency, WTS MEDIA, the team at Magnify help members of the public share stories with the mainstream media, and provide a content-writing service for major national media outlets.

Commenting on their first year, Magnify PR’s co-founder Nick Owens said: “Over the past 12 months we’ve been able to grow our client base, and we have ambitious plans to upscale. The ethos of our agency is very straightforward in that we aim to magnify what makes our clients special. We are a  360 PR agency offering a wide range of services – but one thing underpins everything we do: storytelling.”

Commenting on the challenges of growing a PR business, Nick continued: “The relationship between PRs and journalists is ever-changing. But one thing has never changed, and that is the demand journalists place upon receiving original and unique content ready to be published.  That’s what we always strive to deliver.

“We work with clients who aren’t interested in paid media, or pay for click content. Instead, we are aligned to clients who want to build long-term media partnerships and  build their brands through creative storytelling.”

Outlining the agency’s future ambitions Nick, who sits on the executive board of the Chester Business Club, continued: “We want to grow our client base and help our current partners use our services to help fulfill their own aspirations for growth. “Although our clients are spread right across the UK, our roots will always remain firmly fixed in the north west of England. There is a huge opportunity for media and PR agencies to cut through in this region and play a part in supporting the business growth flourishing in this part of the country.

“I’m also really proud of the work Magnify is doing to help a number of charities. We provide voluntary support to two mental health charities the Frank Bruno Foundation and the Laura Hyde Foundation. And we also voluntarily advise Sticks and Stones, a charity which campaigns around awareness on osteoporosis and George’s Law, which is fighting to provide paid-leave for those coping with the loss of a child.

“Using PR to try and best help charitable causes like these will always be a part of what we do at Magnify PR.”
