Adlington Management Services expands to 12 retirement communities

Adlington Management Services (AMS) is doubling in size as it takes on six more retirement communities this month, in addition to the six communities it currently manages.

From 1st April, the management arm of Adlington Retirement Living has taken over from MHA at Adlington House in Otley, Adlington House in Urmston and Brooklands House in Stafford. The AMS team has also taken on the management of The Bridges in Macclesfield and The Chimes in Cheadle, and will manage The Spindles, Adlington Retirement Living’s latest retirement community in Menston, West Yorkshire. The additions will take Adlington Management Services’ portfolio to 12 retirement communities.

Dr Ed Gladman, CEO of Adlington Retirement Living, said: “In 2019 we formed Adlington Management Services as our own management organisation, to ensure the long-term investment and sustainability of all future communities. By taking the operations in-house, we can provide a consistently outstanding service to our homeowners and be absolutely confident that we are delivering the lifestyle they chose when they moved in.”

Simon Crewe, Director of Adlington Retirement Living who leads Adlington Management Services, said: “Our professional, on-site teams are responsible for the practical aspects of running a retirement community, such as maintaining the building, as well as the more emotional aspects that create a caring, supportive environment and positively contribute to the health, happiness and well-being of our homeowners. We ensure that every homeowner’s experience exceeds their expectations.

“Our team members have a genuine passion for what we do. They enjoy delivering first class service, making a difference to people and helping our homeowners to enjoy their retirement to the full.”

The growth of Adlington Management Services is part of the strategic expansion of Adlington Retirement Living.

Dr Ed Gladman said: “Since 2008, we have launched 15 Integrated Retirement Communities across the North West, Yorkshire, Wales and the Midlands. In the past six years we have grown from 30 employees to a team of more than 200, with experts from land acquisition, planning, architectural and technical design, to procurement, construction, sales & marketing, legal and community operations.

“We’re due to welcome homeowners to our 16th integrated retirement community next month in Menston, near Ilkley in West Yorkshire, and will be opening marketing suites for our 17th and 18thcommunities in Kempston, Bedfordshire, and Wylde Green, near Solihull, later this year. It’s certainly an exciting time to be part of the growing business for both our new recruits and for our longstanding colleagues.”

Adlington Retirement Living is one of the top three companies that designs, builds, and operates Independent Retirement Communities in the UK and has more than 1000 happy homeowners. A recent homeowner survey confirmed that 100% would recommend living in an Adlington Retirement Community to friends or family.
