The award is given to the care home Managers who demonstrate a high level of expertise and exceptional skills in managing the complex business of running a care home.
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
In response to her award, Erica said “I have worked in the Care Sector for 42 years; I believe that care must come from the heart. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of caring and advocating for amazing older people and my mission and drive have always been and still remain, to ensure our residents are treated with dignity and respect and to ensure their rights are upheld at all times”.
There are 21 award categories which represent all areas of the social care sector, from frontline staff such as care workers and care managers to people who have made an impact in other ways such as in training and innovation.
