Sayer Vincent and DSC partner to host online – 21st – 22nd September 2022
Sayer Vincent, the award-winning firm of charity auditors and advisers in partnership with the Directory of Social Change (DSC) is hosting the 2022 Charity Accountants Conference online and inviting charities to ‘Refresh and Review’ their finances and better plan for the future.
This conference is a must-attend event for charity finance professionals. Each day there will be interactive session’s covering key issues, with two keynote sessions a day, which include
The Charity Commission, Jay Kennedy, Director of Policy at DSC, Lucy Rhodes, Bates Well and Nicola Sykes from Pro Bono Economics will deliver the following keynote sessions:
- An update on current and future plans from The Charity Commission
- DSC with a Regulatory and Policy update
- Lucy Rhodes talking about the updated charities act 2022
- Nicola Sykes on what charities should anticipate on the horizon, for them as an organisation and also for the people they serve
There are also two panel discussions: On day one, the discussion will be: ‘What trustees need to know’ led by Debra Allcock Tyler CEO at DSC.
On day two, the discussion will be ‘Future of the finance professional’ – Are you ready? led by Oliver Deacon, Executive Coaching for Finance Leaders and Ex-Microsoft FD.
There are also four breakout sessions per day with speakers from Sayer Vincent and DSC covering many topics including the role of wellbeing, mental health and managing stress, managing staff remotely, resilience, charity reserves and leadership.

The conference will be delivered by Zoom starting at 9.30 am and finishing at 15.40 on both days, with 45 minutes for lunch. Attendees will get the following:
