IPSE freelance members pass £1,000,000 milestone in savings with Perkbox

IPSE, the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed, has this week announced that its members have made £1m of savings with Perkbox, Europe’s fastest growing employee experience platform, in the last 12 months.

IPSE wanted to give its members some of the benefits that employees have and improve their wellbeing. To that end, in January 2018 it started working with Perkbox, to recognise the hard work of its members. Ever since, the IPSE community have made +56,000 redemptions on the platform and £1,096,661 worth of savings.

The initiative helps freelancers access services that will improve their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing. Members benefit from a range of perks across categories such as fitness & health, finance, entertainment and high street shopping, ensuring the best experience inside and outside of work for its members.

The IPSE membership scheme includes other advantages too, such as exclusive pricing with WeWork, Aon, John Charcol, Axa Healthcare and Experian.

With the reliance of UK businesses on the flexible expertise contractors provide, how to do this right will have to be considered very carefully.

Tom O’Connor, Enterprise Customer Success Director at Perkbox says:

“With the self-employed making up one in seven of us today, it’s vital that despite not all our workforce operates in a traditional setting, we still all get access to some sort of perks and benefits. That we feel valued and recognised for our collaborations.

“We’re delighted to be working with IPSE to level the playing field in this space, helping provide perks and benefits to all workers across the UK, be they self-employed or a traditional employee.”

Toby Tetrault, Head of Marketing at IPSE said:

“The wellbeing of our members is at the heart of IPSE’s purpose. Freelancers often miss the benefits that employees access through their companies but by coming together as IPSE members, they can enjoy many of these perks while enjoying the freedom and flexibility of self-employment.”
